All Texas Pride Meats are flash-frozen at the peak of freshness, ensuring maximum flavor and quality from our ranch to your table. When your order arrives, it will be completely frozen and carefully packaged to maintain optimal condition.

Freezer Storage Essentials

Ideal Storage Conditions

  • Keep meat frozen at 0°F (-18°C) or below

  • Store in original vacuum-sealed packaging

  • Maintain consistent freezer temperature

  • Place packages in a single layer for fastest freezing and easiest access

Thawing Methods

1. Refrigerator Thawing (Recommended Method)

  • Move frozen meat from freezer to refrigerator

  • Place on a plate or in a container to catch condensation

  • Allow 24 hours of thawing time for every 4-5 pounds of meat

  • Keep in original packaging

  • Use within 3-5 days after thawing

2. Cold Water Thawing (Faster Method)

  • Keep meat in leak-proof packaging

  • Submerge in cold tap water

  • Change water every 30 minutes to maintain cold temperature

  • Small packages: 1 hour

  • Larger roasts: 2-3 hours

  • Cook immediately after thawing
